HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR

GENERAL PURPOSE

Envision, design, plan, and implement human resources programs and policies in support of Salient Surgical Technologies’ overall strategic direction, guiding principles and culture. Areas of focus include talent acquisition & retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and health & safety programs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for developing, implementing and managing HR business processes & procedures
  • Oversee all Human Resource functions including payroll, compensation, benefits, recruitment, orientation, retention, performance evaluation/management, legal compliance, employee policy handbook and safety programs
  • Promote and drive enthusiasm for company mission/vision and guiding principles in support of short and long term strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Consult with legal counsel on personnel issues when necessary
  • Monitor current HR trends and best practices, and make recommendations for change where appropriate
  • Work with managers to plan for staffing needs and forecast salary/benefits costs
    Conduct regular compensation reviews and work with managers on salary adjustment recommendations
  • Provide direction and recommendations to Sr. management regarding management of an integrated performance evaluation process for all employees, and ensure employee performance is evaluated.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all employee related policies and activities
  • Manage company-wide recruitment strategy and process, and assist managers acquiring top talent
  • Review and benefit plans annually and recommend changes/updates where appropriate
  • Participate as a member of Sr. Management, and share input into the future direction of the company.
  • Serve as 401(k) plan fiduciary and HIPAA Privacy Official
  • Lead and directs the work/development of others.

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years Human Resource experience with staffing and recruitment background.
