PRODUCT MANAGER

GENERAL PURPOSE

Support the planning and implementation of marketing activities which support the Company’s business strategy for orthopaedic reconstructive surgery and spine markets.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day-to-day activities associated with products for orthopaedic reconstructive and spine surgery markets.  Includes development of sales collateral, forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Support initiatives designed to insure effective communication and cooperation between the sales and marketing organizations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence strategy.  Provide field sales organization with educational tools and information that help them to effectively sell against direct and indirect competitive threats.
  • Create and implement novel marketing initiatives designed to enhance the image of the Company and its products designed for use in reconstructive orthopaedic surgery and spine procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeon thought-leaders and product champions to development value added programs and materials.
  • Implement publication strategy designed to communicate the value of the Company’s technology when used for orthopaedic reconstructive and spine procedures.
  • Develop surgical technique videos which demonstrate the proper technique for utilizing the Company’s technology for specific orthopaedic reconstructive and spine procedures.
  • Develop and implement leveraged educational activities in association with specialty societies including programs in conjunction with reconstructive orthopaedic and spine specialty meetings.
  • Support the planning and tactical implementation of the company’s tradeshow activities.

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field, MBA desirable.
  • 5 years experience in marketing within the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with surgical procedures and clinical practices.
  • Previous medical device sales experience desirable.
  • Experience in reconstructive orthopaedic surgery or spine market desired.
  • Experience developing clinical white papers and surgical technique videos.
