TissueLink Medical Announces Additions to Senior Management Team

David G. Brown joins as Vice President of U.S. Sales and Marketing -
Mark S. Roby joins as Vice President of Research and Development

Dover, NH, January 29, 2008 - TissueLink Medical Inc., a privately held medical device company, announced today the appointment of David G. Brown as Vice President of U.S. Sales and Marketing and Mark S. Roby, Ph.D. as Vice President of Research and Development.

Mr. Brown joins TissueLink with significant experience in surgical product sales and marketing. Immediately prior to joining TissueLink, Mr. Brown was the Vice President of Strategic Sales for the Orthopedic Reconstruction Division of Smith + Nephew. Previously, he spent over 17 years at Covidien’s U.S. Surgical Division. During his 51/2 years of tenure as Vice President of Sales for U.S. Surgical, he increased the size and effectiveness of the field sales organization. He also instituted sales leadership training programs to develop sales management leaders and benchmark sales talent in order to enhance the hiring and development process. At TissueLink, Mr. Brown will be responsible for the Company’s U.S. sales and global marketing strategy and for expanding the direct sales force. Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University.

Dr. Roby comes to TissueLink with over 16 years of experience in medical device R&D, with over 45 patents and 13 publications to his credit. Immediately prior to joining TissueLink, Dr. Roby was the Chief Operating Officer of Promethean Surgical Devices, a development stage surgical products company. Previously, he spent over 12 years at Covidien’s U.S. Surgical division. While at Covidien, as Vice President of Research and Development, he significantly increased the size of the R&D group and the depth of the product pipeline. He also expedited the product development process and initiated technology development in new lines of business. At TissueLink, Dr. Roby will lead the expansion of the Company’s new product development initiative and will also be responsible for evaluating new technologies. Dr. Roby earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut, an MBA from Nasson College and a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Connecticut.
